Meg's Visit

Meg came to visit us last weekend! It was kinda an impromptu (sp) visit and it was a blast!!! She got here on Friday night and we hung out at the house and made lemon pepper chicken, mac and cheese, and corn. It was SCRUMPTIOUS! We love mac and cheese! The lemon pepper chicken rocked too! I almost drug her out of bed at 5:30 am to go garage sale shopping but thought twice and let her sleep! So we ended up making breakfast and meeting up with Genessa and Kara to go shopping at the Promenade. She found a super cute graduation dress and we both bought swimsuits. I know it seems kind of early to be shopping for swimsuits but have you ever waited till like July to buy a swimsuit?? NOT HAPPENING! I learned that last year! Plus, it was on sale! Then we came home and made Pizzas (Did I mention we love to eat?!?). Those were wonderful too! Luckily, it was my week off for working at church so we slept in and went to the late service. Then (once again) we ate..at Madame Woos in Fayetteville. Let me just tell you if you have never been there, you are really missing out--it is Fabulous! Especially if you cannot afford PF Changs..haha. She cheered me on at my last soccer game and then went home. Thanks for coming Meg..your the best!!

Superstars!!!!

So, for the last 8 weeks I have been playing indoor soccer. This has been a new, exciting experience for me. I have never EVER played soccer before, actually I have always hated soccer BUT after some convincing from Genessa, I joined her team and I ended up LOVING it. It was a humbling experience though because out of 10 teams, we ended up coming in TENTH place. Now, I hate losing, I'm competitive by nature and at times it was just painful losing every week. BUT, I figure next season (coming up this summer) we have NOTHING to lose!! Surely, we can only get better?!?!? Anyways..here are some pictures from our last game. Later!

Maniac Moses

Not much new this week. Just more of the same!!! We had a great turnout on Wed night at our StreamLine life group. We brought Moses and he was a big hit (yes, we realize that very soon we WILL start having to leave him at home....

=( sadness! ) He's been doing really well. He got his second booster shot on Saturday and he weighs 6.7 lbs. He sometimes is a stinker at night and really frustrates me!! But we love em! My mom is super cute and sent him a little package in the mail---a bone, rope, and some tennis balls. There are some pics of him playing with his new rope. Did I mention that the little sucker is so stinkin fast??? Its NOT COOL when its 5:00 am and I'm having to take him out to go to the bathroom and I'm in my pajamas and slippers and he won't come back inside and he thinks I'm playing as he runs away from me!!! Esp when it is COLD! AND it is still dark outside and I can't see him b/c he is so dark! I'm SO ready for him to learn and understand what I'm saying. Its a good thing that he is SO ADORABLE! Thats about it! Have a good week all!

Introducing Moses aka "MO"

We had an impulse buy on Friday night. We were out with Jeremy and Lindsay and ended up at PetsMart...humane society was there with like 15 puppies!!! For those of you who don't know this, we have had a stray cat that adopted us a couple weeks ago and we couldn't get it to go away (yes, we fed it). Well we both aren't big cat fans but Brian was starting to convert and wanted to keep it. So I knew getting a puppy was really the only solution to the cat problem!! So, enter Moses!!! Brian spotted him and picked him out and after holding him for a few minutes WE HAD TO HAVE HIM!!! He is a dachshund (weenie dog)/ blue heeler mix. The funny thing is that the mom is the blue heeler and the dad is the dachsund!! We found that to be pretty funny. He was born on Jan 2, so he is barely 8 weeks old. He's been a blast so far! Here are the pics!!

Valentines Day!!!

Valentines Day was a very sweet day! Brian took me to lunch on Dixon Street (a surprise) then we exchanged gifts. I got him a St. Louis Cardinals T-shirt and a racey card =) haha. And he got me a dvd--Marie Antoinette. I have been wanting that for a long time! And he got me a way sweet card too =) Then we went to Different Strokes (pottery place) with some friends from our life group and painted pottery. I just got our plate back tonight that we painted and it is very sad looking. =( I'm not even putting it on this blog b/c its that bad!!! But here are pics from that night!

My New Apron!!

About a week ago we had a girl's night: Making Aprons. We all went to Kelly's house to learn how to sew and eat lots of good food! I have never used a sewing machine before so this was a very intersting experience. Thankfully, Genessa was my teacher and my apron came out way cute!! I have it on display in my kitchen and don't know if I will want to get it dirty! It took me too long to make to watch it fall apart in the washing machine!!!

So last night ROCKED!! I had such a blast with everyone...we ate LOTS OF FOOD, watched the game ( a little) and played Guitar Hero and Dance Dance Revolution. I could easily become addicted to both games..I really want them both! And I want a WI (sp) the new nintendo game. If you have never played Guitar Hero, I difinitely recommend trying it, super fun..even if you stink at it like me!! Here are some pics of the party:
