Does our Dog need a friend????

So...are two dogs better than one?? Brian and I have been discussing the possibility of acquiring a friend for Moses. We just both feel kinda bad because he is outside by himself a lot. While this is better than being cooped up in a kennel, I still feel bad sometimes leaving him all alone to play by himself. The thing is, he's really not that sociable with other dogs. He actually prefers cats. Weirdo! I even went and looked at the Animal Shelter after work today b/c I saw a really cute puppy online at PETFINDER but he had already been adopted. I just don't know if I can see us with two dogs. One dog is a whole lot of work, well it was a whole lot of work until recently. Now that he is potty trained, dew claw free, neutered, and staying outside while we are gone, it has been a breeze. He must wear himself out pretty good b/c all he does is sleep when we let him in now. Not to mention the fact that he sleeps all night in his bed and I have to carry him outside in the mornings b/c he's too lazy to get up and go outside. So, maybe he is playing enough by himself then?? Any thoughts??

Also, my sister and her fiancee', Doug's honeymoon plans have fell through, any body know of any good honeymooning places in Florida??? A picture of the happy couple:

Baby Clopton

This afternoon we had a baby shower for Becky Clopton. It was a ton of fun and she got a lot of awesome presents for baby clopton! Congrats John and Becky--we love you guys!!!! =)

Here are a bunch of us after the shower, we are missing a few girls who had to leave right after =(

Screaming Deal!!!!!!!!

I got an AWESOME deal this week and I found it on CRAIG'S LIST. This chick from Fayetteville is moving and was selling all of her DVD's for WAY CHEAP. I got 28 DVD's for less than $100!!!!!!!!!!!! Before this, we only owned about 10 movies, and they were Brian's before we got married so not really to my liking. We are always looking for movie deals on EBAY but their combo movie packs always have so many movies that we don't care to have. This chick let me pick and choose which ones I wanted. I got a ton of girly movies and action ones for Brian. I was super pumped!!!!! I've already watched three =)

Hubby is Home!!!! =)

Brian is home!!!! Yay!!! =) I helped drive a vehicle to pick up the kids at Dry Gulch this morning. It seemed like a pretty cool little camp. I am so glad to have my hubby home though! I hate staying alone (thankfully, so does Lauren!) and my dog's high maintenence situation wore me out! We are just chillin tonight, doing some laundry and some cleaning, not much else going on. Have a GREAT MONDAY!!! =)

Flying Solo

I am flying solo this weekend. Brian is at the Dry Gulch camp with the kid's at church. He is having a blast playing all day. He said its been awesome! Lauren is also flying solo this weekend so we went to Hugo's for dinner--we both tried the spinach crepes--delicious!, rented some movies, grabbed some coffee and headed back to my house to watch our movies:

Music and Lyrics was kinda a bummer. I don't recommend it. Now, we also discovered that we both are fascinated with silly teenage movies. Hence, John Tucker Must Die. We both also loved the movie, Mean Girls. So we took advantage of husband's having no say in the movie choice and got it!!! It was better than the first and pretty funny. I had a really fun girl night!!!! =)

My Husband the Aspiring Handyman!!!!

We finally have our front gates up for our fence!!! Troy C. came over all day last Saturday and helped Brian put them up. They look really good and now Moses can stay in the backyard by himself while we are gone. Super excited about that! I hung out with the Canalicio (sp) kids and Megan played photagrahper:

NEW CARPET---FINALLY!!!!

Home Depot had told us that our carpet would be here in 7-10 business days. 5 weeks later it finally gets here! Brian did get us a $300 refund. So I guess I shouldn't complain that much! They got here around 3:30 on Thursday and didn't finish until about 10:30 that night. We love it and it looks so good! It makes the house feel more new!!! Yay!!!!

Here it is Before:

And After:

Then Things Got EVEN WORSE!!!!!!!!!!!

So, the day after the 4th things got worse for Moses. He ripped off his bandage and sock and I woke up the next morning and saw it hanging half off. So I bring him into the living room and take off the bandage and the sock and then almost passed out. I'll spare you the details but it was very open nasty looking. I called the VET as soon as they opened and after laying some smack down got him in right away. The VET had to staple his skin on the foot back together and bandage it again. We were told to bring him back the next Wednesday. Good news is that we didn't pay a dime this time. I didn't make eye contact with the check out ladies just in case they tried to change their mind!!!!!

They said the most important thing was to keep the sock and bandage dry. Well, it has rained pretty much every day here. NOT COOL. Everytime the poor dog has to go outside we have to use plastic baggies and rubberband them to his feet. Then, because the E-Collar didn't work they had to construct a collar made out of a bathroom trashcan. They took his collar, cut out the bottom of the trashcan and zip tied it to the collar. It's really sad and pathetic. When he has to wear it he can't do anything but lay there. So I have felt really bad for him lately.

We took him back on Wednesday only to hear that he has to leave it on until this coming Monday. Only, the VET wanted to keep the other foot covered up as well. So now I have 2 feet to worry about. It's been a really long couple weeks and poor Mo hasn't been able to play outside in weeks. He hasn't had a bath or been on a walk in forever. It's so sad for him and so frustrating for us! Pray that Monday brings good news!!!! =) Here are the pics of Bucket Head!!!

WonderDog

So....our son (moses) is so talented and borrowed his friend, Rex's tricycle to ride! Awww...Kelly, doesn't he look just like Rex????????????? HAHAHAHAHAH!!!! I've been waiting to post this for over a week!!!!

4th of July

Finally found my USB cord! whoohoo! 4th of July was a blast. We had some people over and grilled out and just chilled. The boys all returned to being 15 and tried to blow eachother up with Fireworks. Then they made like a 10:00 run to the Fireworks store to reload. The only pics that I got were of the kiddos. Oh, and Keisha with her Violet!

And then things get WORSE......

Things are pretty pathetic and ridiculous over here in Farmington. Moses' right back leg got inflamed and we had to bring him in for an emergency visit after work today. We managed to keep a bandage on Sunday afternoon and until about 3:00 today. Brian took it off and then saw how bad it looked. So we went to the VET and he said it is inflamed and it needed to be bandaged for another couple days. Since he can't stop licking and chewing it he had to put one of those crazy collars on (see picture). This is such a pain! Not to mention the vet bills! Did you know they charge $6.00 to bandage his foot up? It took the doctor like 30 seconds to do it and they have the nerve to charge someone $6.00 to do that. Not to mention the medicine and the crazy collar. Our boys are expensive, right Kelly? =)
