Moses

Haven't talked about our child in a while!!! He's been doing really good! It cracks me up b/c he is so accident prone and I make fun of Brian and tell him that he gets it from him. For example, Moses and I were playing outside with the soccer ball and I kicked it and he chased it and was running so fast, that he kinda tripped and sprained his leg or something. He limped for about 3 days before he could walk normaly. SOOO my husband!!! haha! We are having a big problem with him jumping on people. We tried ignoring him when we get home until he sits or lays down and then giving him attention and that sorta works, but he still jumps randomly on us at home. Then, when we have people over he always jumps on them b/c he is so excited. And I hate that!!!! I know people don't want a dog jumping all over them! I want to take him to obedience school but its pretty expensive! Thats really the only thing that he does that I don't like. He knows how to sit, stay, and shake. He's pretty good at coming on command too. But the jumping thing is driving us nuts!! Any suggestions???? Here are some cute pics of Moses:

MOVING ON.....

Today was the last day that Keypoint Church had sevices at Tucker Elementary school. We have been there for about 2.5 years!!! We are finally getting into our own building. I don't think it has sunk in yet that I no longer have to get to church at 7:00 am and then work my rear off for 2 hours to help get things set up for the services. Not to mention the hour or so of tear down and loading that we do after service as well. We end up being there from 7:00 am till about 1:30. That makes for LONG DAY. But, it was all definitely worth it. We have met so many incredible people and gotten to know so many awesome people by doing that. However, showing up at 10:45 am for the second service will sure be nice!!!!! I stole this picture from Josh's blog (thanks, Josh!). One last memory of our church at Tucker:

Unfortunately, we weren't quite paying attention to all the signs and got a little lost...so it was more like a 5 hour drive!!! OOPS!!! Anyways...we went on a tour of a chocolate factory, saw a 3D chocolate show, took a trolley tour, went to the Chocolate World Amusement and Water Park, and ate lots of chocolate of course!! Super Super fun!!! I recommend it for a family vacation!!! =) Here is the link for the Album :

First Day in D.C.

Well I finally made it!!! What was supposed to be 5 hour trip turned into a 10 hour trip and I didn't think I was ever going to get here. My flight out of XNA got cancelled b/c the flight before us had to take our plane b/c their's was damaged. NICE. Instead of waiting in the long line at the ticket counter, I called the air lines on my cell phone and got on the next flight out of XNA at 4:15 (mine was supposed to leave at 12:35). Its a good thing that I called because when the 4th person in front of me finally got to the counter, the next plane was booked! So, I spent from 11:30 until 4:00 in the XNA airport. That was REAL cool. But in between all that, I couldn't get a hold of my husband and I didn't know why. Turns out that his phone, wallet, and keys were stolen in Wal Mart!!!! But thank God after like an hour a cashier randomly found his stuff in another cart across the store. Nothing was taken from his wallet and his phone and keys were with it too. WEIRD. But we were both panicking!!! So I arrived in DC around 10:00 PM. My sister and I have this funny thing where we call each other MILDRED when we are in front of strangers. It's ok if you don't think this is funny...but I promise it's HILARIOUS!! She made a sign that said "Mildred Anderson" and was holding it up when I was coming from the plane. HA. She got me good.
Today we went to churc at National Community Church. It is a church with three locations and the one we met in was in a movie theatre. It was really neat and the service was awesome! Plus, the seats were WAY comfy!!!! Then we went and ate at GUAPOS mexican restaurant. Very good. And tonight we are going to see the BOURNE SUPREMACY. Here are some pics from today:

Does our Dog need a friend????

So...are two dogs better than one?? Brian and I have been discussing the possibility of acquiring a friend for Moses. We just both feel kinda bad because he is outside by himself a lot. While this is better than being cooped up in a kennel, I still feel bad sometimes leaving him all alone to play by himself. The thing is, he's really not that sociable with other dogs. He actually prefers cats. Weirdo! I even went and looked at the Animal Shelter after work today b/c I saw a really cute puppy online at PETFINDER but he had already been adopted. I just don't know if I can see us with two dogs. One dog is a whole lot of work, well it was a whole lot of work until recently. Now that he is potty trained, dew claw free, neutered, and staying outside while we are gone, it has been a breeze. He must wear himself out pretty good b/c all he does is sleep when we let him in now. Not to mention the fact that he sleeps all night in his bed and I have to carry him outside in the mornings b/c he's too lazy to get up and go outside. So, maybe he is playing enough by himself then?? Any thoughts??

Also, my sister and her fiancee', Doug's honeymoon plans have fell through, any body know of any good honeymooning places in Florida??? A picture of the happy couple:

Baby Clopton

This afternoon we had a baby shower for Becky Clopton. It was a ton of fun and she got a lot of awesome presents for baby clopton! Congrats John and Becky--we love you guys!!!! =)

Here are a bunch of us after the shower, we are missing a few girls who had to leave right after =(

Screaming Deal!!!!!!!!

I got an AWESOME deal this week and I found it on CRAIG'S LIST. This chick from Fayetteville is moving and was selling all of her DVD's for WAY CHEAP. I got 28 DVD's for less than $100!!!!!!!!!!!! Before this, we only owned about 10 movies, and they were Brian's before we got married so not really to my liking. We are always looking for movie deals on EBAY but their combo movie packs always have so many movies that we don't care to have. This chick let me pick and choose which ones I wanted. I got a ton of girly movies and action ones for Brian. I was super pumped!!!!! I've already watched three =)

Hubby is Home!!!! =)

Brian is home!!!! Yay!!! =) I helped drive a vehicle to pick up the kids at Dry Gulch this morning. It seemed like a pretty cool little camp. I am so glad to have my hubby home though! I hate staying alone (thankfully, so does Lauren!) and my dog's high maintenence situation wore me out! We are just chillin tonight, doing some laundry and some cleaning, not much else going on. Have a GREAT MONDAY!!! =)

Flying Solo

I am flying solo this weekend. Brian is at the Dry Gulch camp with the kid's at church. He is having a blast playing all day. He said its been awesome! Lauren is also flying solo this weekend so we went to Hugo's for dinner--we both tried the spinach crepes--delicious!, rented some movies, grabbed some coffee and headed back to my house to watch our movies:

Music and Lyrics was kinda a bummer. I don't recommend it. Now, we also discovered that we both are fascinated with silly teenage movies. Hence, John Tucker Must Die. We both also loved the movie, Mean Girls. So we took advantage of husband's having no say in the movie choice and got it!!! It was better than the first and pretty funny. I had a really fun girl night!!!! =)

My Husband the Aspiring Handyman!!!!

We finally have our front gates up for our fence!!! Troy C. came over all day last Saturday and helped Brian put them up. They look really good and now Moses can stay in the backyard by himself while we are gone. Super excited about that! I hung out with the Canalicio (sp) kids and Megan played photagrahper:

Here is Carter enjoying his Ice Cream:

NEW CARPET---FINALLY!!!!

Home Depot had told us that our carpet would be here in 7-10 business days. 5 weeks later it finally gets here! Brian did get us a $300 refund. So I guess I shouldn't complain that much! They got here around 3:30 on Thursday and didn't finish until about 10:30 that night. We love it and it looks so good! It makes the house feel more new!!! Yay!!!!

Here it is Before:

And After:

Then Things Got EVEN WORSE!!!!!!!!!!!

So, the day after the 4th things got worse for Moses. He ripped off his bandage and sock and I woke up the next morning and saw it hanging half off. So I bring him into the living room and take off the bandage and the sock and then almost passed out. I'll spare you the details but it was very open nasty looking. I called the VET as soon as they opened and after laying some smack down got him in right away. The VET had to staple his skin on the foot back together and bandage it again. We were told to bring him back the next Wednesday. Good news is that we didn't pay a dime this time. I didn't make eye contact with the check out ladies just in case they tried to change their mind!!!!!

They said the most important thing was to keep the sock and bandage dry. Well, it has rained pretty much every day here. NOT COOL. Everytime the poor dog has to go outside we have to use plastic baggies and rubberband them to his feet. Then, because the E-Collar didn't work they had to construct a collar made out of a bathroom trashcan. They took his collar, cut out the bottom of the trashcan and zip tied it to the collar. It's really sad and pathetic. When he has to wear it he can't do anything but lay there. So I have felt really bad for him lately.

We took him back on Wednesday only to hear that he has to leave it on until this coming Monday. Only, the VET wanted to keep the other foot covered up as well. So now I have 2 feet to worry about. It's been a really long couple weeks and poor Mo hasn't been able to play outside in weeks. He hasn't had a bath or been on a walk in forever. It's so sad for him and so frustrating for us! Pray that Monday brings good news!!!! =) Here are the pics of Bucket Head!!!

WonderDog

So....our son (moses) is so talented and borrowed his friend, Rex's tricycle to ride! Awww...Kelly, doesn't he look just like Rex????????????? HAHAHAHAHAH!!!! I've been waiting to post this for over a week!!!!

4th of July

Finally found my USB cord! whoohoo! 4th of July was a blast. We had some people over and grilled out and just chilled. The boys all returned to being 15 and tried to blow eachother up with Fireworks. Then they made like a 10:00 run to the Fireworks store to reload. The only pics that I got were of the kiddos. Oh, and Keisha with her Violet!

And then things get WORSE......

Things are pretty pathetic and ridiculous over here in Farmington. Moses' right back leg got inflamed and we had to bring him in for an emergency visit after work today. We managed to keep a bandage on Sunday afternoon and until about 3:00 today. Brian took it off and then saw how bad it looked. So we went to the VET and he said it is inflamed and it needed to be bandaged for another couple days. Since he can't stop licking and chewing it he had to put one of those crazy collars on (see picture). This is such a pain! Not to mention the vet bills! Did you know they charge $6.00 to bandage his foot up? It took the doctor like 30 seconds to do it and they have the nerve to charge someone $6.00 to do that. Not to mention the medicine and the crazy collar. Our boys are expensive, right Kelly? =)

THE ONLY MAN LEFT

As if there weren't enough women in our house, Michelle has to have another. Moses had to trip to get the snip, snip. Poor guy never even got to have any fun before he lost all that is being a MAN. He had his testis removed. There is a percentage of testosterone that has been removed from the Anderson family. Everything should have went smooth because of the fact we paid an extra $30 for it to be done by laser. The vet mentioned that we should have his Dew (have not clue how to spell that) claws removed while doing the snip, snip. They said that this would help avoid an emergency trip when they got ripped off in an accident. This would be more than what we bargained for.

The evening began with Moses taking off his bandages you see in the picture (they were pink, my fav color). He's not allowed to take them off for 48 hours or it could get infected. Michelle being the great mother she is made us leave immediately to get more guaze and wrap to clean it up. Mean time Moses is going nuts in the car because he wants to lick it. To make a long story short we put it back on and he took it off twice. (I think chelle was a little stressed)ok a lot.

We had red lobster (yummm biscuits--possibly the best thing you could ever put in your mouth)with the Heaston's and Mincks'and then went to Star Bucks . I only had 4 1/2 biscuits! The end of the evening ended with MO taking a pain pill and crashing on the couch. He's one good looking stud! What a great kid. (Sounds just like Rex huh)
MORAL: NEVER take away a man's pride before he has the chance to flaunt it.
